If you like to take a little something home with you as a reminder of your time on the Outer Banks, you are not alone. From the small to the sublime, Beach Treasures in Duck is filled with items that are perfect when you’re in the mood to reflect and reminisce about your Outer Banks experience.
I have spent many years practicing some serious trial and error here at Beach Treasures in Duck! I've added this and I've added that...and have cultivated the business by watching, learning, and doing. Each individual who has worked with me has left his or her mark. What you might not realize is that each one of you walking through our door has also contributed to the new dynamic of our Beach Treasures in Duck.
I’ve come to appreciate over the years is that ornament shopping -- and collecting -- spans all seasons. Rarely do shoppers need to hear Bing croon or feel chillier temps to seriously shop for Christmas tree trimmings. Here at Beach Treasures in Duck, many of our ornaments have an appeal that expands far beyond the craftsmanship, touching a heartstring and representing special times spent on the Outer Banks.
The Town of Duck is one of the most popular resort destinations on the east coast. You hear it referred to as a “sound to sea community” thanks to the seemingly endless variety of recreational activities and events, great dining, and it goes without saying – shopping – all nestled in along a narrow strip of barrier island where there’s a guaranteed view of the sunrise and sunset each and every day.
A step inside Beach Treasures in Duck provides another kind of opportunity to see the nature we cherish here on this fragile barrier island…but through the eyes of many of our local artisans. Diane Luke Barth, Kill Devil Hills resident and local artist, is beloved for how she expresses her passion for horses and nature such as the variety found on the Outer Banks. From eye to brush to canvas, Diane has a unique way of painting wildlife, sometimes combining horses with other nature-related subject matter.
