Experts have told us – and we certainly agree -- that that our female friendships make us healthier, happier, less stressed, and feel more beautiful. And the special ones – packed full of the stuff that BFF’s are made of – comes from spending time together.

It doesn't really matter where we are…or what we're doing for that matter…but it sure seems to us that one way that gal pals, moms, sisters like to have fun here in Duck (aside from going to the beach) is to shop! (And yes, I realize that this sounds quite cliché.)

Some of the best times here at Beach Treasures in Duck are when we’re visited by flocks of friends. Quilters, book clubs, life-long reunions, bridal parties…those times when it becomes instantly clear that shopping with friends is much more fun than shopping alone! Fancies are freer and it’s all about exploring curiosities large and small. Which one do you like best…or should I get the necklace or bracelet (or both!)

Other times we are visited by Moms & Daughters in search of matching memories. Maybe their visit’s been planned…or maybe it’s a spontaneous pop-in during a stroll along the Boardwalk after dinner or on a blustery day.  May is most certainly about Mom, but from where we sit, May’s also a time when we’re visited by lots and lots of women!

So take a time out!  Grab your sister, aunt, best friend, or niece and come spend a ridiculous amount of time enjoying a shopping experience that really is unique to Duck.  It’s not often when you’ll find a shop that boasts designer jewelry alongside local collectibles. Where you can trim the tree and adorn yourself…where you can find a keepsake in the form of a comfy, cozy sweatshirt or a piece of art you’ll be able to admire for years to come.
