Sometimes you just have to see it with your own eyes…

…that’s what I am thinking as I prepare to introduce you to one of our newest additions here at Beach Treasures in Duck.

Meet Noah Snyder. Noah Snyder is a third-generation artist and the Outer Banks’ very first professional surfer. To earn that title, Noah surfed all over the world – on nearly every continent – and rightly received his share of features in both print and television over a two-decade career.

Now Noah has begun a new chapter…and oh how beautiful it is.  For this new endeavor, Noah draws inspiration from a childhood spent on the Outer Banks…or as he would describe it -- submerged in the natural wonders of our world. It is with this perspective, and love for the natural world, that Noah now creates beautiful art.

With both an eye and love for his craft, Noah pieces at the shop are the result of a process known as fractal wood burning…that when combined with acrylic paint, collide to create stunning art. Now, I know nothing of how to do such a thing but I can tell you that the pieces are as smooth as suede and the colors are vibrant and rich.  

The colors coax out the wood, and the wood coaxes out the design…and the result…well, you’ve just got to see it with you own eyes.
